About Susan Spell

Meet Susan Spell, a native of South Carolina and a seasoned professional with 31 years of experience in the State Park Service. Susan began her career in Aiken and, due to her hard work, commitment, and dedication, was promoted several times, leading to relocation across the state. Despite the moves, Susan always maintained a strong connection to Aiken, visiting her family frequently.

Susan took immense pride in ensuring that visitors from across the nation had a stress-free experience in the state parks. This experience taught her problem-solving skills, balance with nature, sustainability, and quality of life, which she believes will be incredibly useful in her new career as a real estate agent.

Susan is a graduate of USC Aiken, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. She worked on her degree while working full time with the State Park Service, before online classes were available, showcasing her determination and work ethic.

Recently retired from the State Park Service, Susan moved back to Aiken to be closer to her God daughters and four beautiful little boys. Over the years, she became very interested in real estate and felt it would offer her the opportunity to apply the skills gained through her work with the State Park Service. When she decided to take the plunge into the world of real estate, she connected with Shirleen Barclay, a professional with a reputation for her character and work ethic.

Susan's parents instilled in her the importance of honesty, hard work, loyalty, and dedication, values that she brings to every aspect of her life, including her work as a real estate agent. In her spare time, Susan loves spending time with her grandchildren in the great outdoors. She is also passionate about giving back to the community and volunteers with organizations that focus on animal welfare and Habitat for Humanity.

Susan considers herself fortunate to have experienced some of the best that South Carolina has to offer, and she firmly believes that Aiken is at the top of that list.
